Fat tuesday.

Great night with live music, festivities and the best friends anyone could ever ask for ♥

She has lost her head.

As part of my journalism class I need to do a story for Kalamalama, the school newspaper, for my midterm. It could be about anything as far as it is related to our school somehow, and I didn´t feel like writing a boring story about a sports event or something that interest me just as much as boogers on a biscuit. So I asked Maren if she would be kind enough to help me out. And she did. The story is still in the works, but it´s all about Maren. Who she is. What she is. Where she is. How she is. When she is. Why she is. For those who don´t know, she´s a Norwegian blogger based in Honolulu while studying and if you haven´t checked out her blog, you should. NOW. Just because I said so.

Red Solo Cup, I fill you up.

You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl. Just saying.

After a couple weeks of talk, I finally managed to drag my to favorite people to my favorite dine´n beer – The Yard House. Over hundred different beers from all over the world. Guess there´s no need to explain my excitement for having Carlsberg on tap in Hawaii. It just feels right. After eating American and drinking European we headed to Nashville – our one and only country bar. Line-dancing, two-step, pool and great music. Definitely a good evening. Now, I´m gonna relax untill school starts again Wednesday. I love holidays that doesn´t quite make sense. Yay for President Day!

This is what I wish for.

One of the worst things about living halfway around the world is that I never really feel like home. Living in Hawaii is temporarily. It´s not forever. So I can´t really make it feel like home. I can´t buy furniture or big items, because I won´t be able to fit it in my suitcase. Besides, I refuse to buy stuff, just for leaving them behind. Especially when it comes to decorating stuff, and not like essential things I need like soap and food. I really miss my apartment back home. And however weird it sounds, I miss all my stuff. So what I often do, is daydream. Daydream about what I would have gotten myself if I just could bring it back home. Get me wrong, I do have plenty of stuff that´s going with me to Norway, but I have to limit myself. No big items, not too much breakable stuff and not too much total. What do you want if you could buy whatever you wanted?

Hearts of joy.

Roses are red. Violets are blue. Vodka is cheaper.. than dinner for two ♥

Happy Valentines Day. I´m single and miserable. Well, not really. Actually I´m quite happy. Had a good valentines together with one of my best friends. First we attended our officer meeting for the advertising club we´re in, before we headed out for some shopping (gotta treat ourselves you know). After some pizza and resting, we headed out for a real valentine dinner at Jack in the Box before we layed down while watching the latest Twilight movie. One fell asleep, and the other went home. We´re the best. Gotta say. My girl even got me the cutest card  and some candy. Candy all gone, and card is up on the wall. Thank you, darling. So what did all of you do for v-day? Anybody have some secret admires out there?
